The "Wonderful Dreams Shinkansen," themed after Tokyo DisneySea's "Fantasy Springs" area that opened in June, marks the first special wrapping of trains running on the line in its 60-year history, according to Central Japan Railway Co. and Oriental Land Co.

Katsuhiko Fukuda allegedly yelled at the staff member, claiming not to have been called for the flight, and then slapped her twice in the face at a boarding gate around 8:10 p.m. Monday, causing an injury, the source said.

Foreign tourists spent a total of 8.14 trillion yen on accommodation, shopping and other expenses in 2024, surpassing the previous record of 5.31 trillion yen set in 2023, preliminary figures from the Japan Tourism Agency showed.
