Transfer reduction gear of motor grader DZ-98B
The transfer reduction gear is attached in the lower portion of the gearbox housing and serves for transmitting the torque to the intermediate and rear axles of the motor grader. The axles are driven through the cardan shafts,connected to flanges 12 of the transfer reduction gear,mounted on lower shaft 16.1- reduction gear housing;

23- reduction gear housing cover
The transfer reduction gear comprises housing 1 and cover 23, machined as a pair.The housing and cover,sealed with a gasket,have four cylindical holes for mounting the bearings and shafts of the reduction gear. Upper shaft 4 runs in roller bearing 5 and has a toothed rim for connecting to the gearbox main shaft through the toothed couplings. Brake drum 19 is mounted on upper layshaft 20 running in roller bearings 5.Lower shaft 16 is running in tapered roller bearings installed in caps 13. For adjusting the tapered bearings adjusting gaskets 1 are used. Fitted on the splines and keys of the shafts are two pairs of gears 3, 21, 6 and 9 arranged in a row ard being constantly meshed.
A through hole available in the transfer reduction gear housing is aligned with the hole in the gearbox housing. Along this hole an excess oil from the gearbox housing flows into the transfer reduction gear.The oil level in the transfer reduction gear is checked through a hole covered with the check plug.
In the cover 23 is inserted a intake pipe interconnected with the duct of a suction branch pipe of the NMSH-25 pump. In the same cover is threaded the union 10 connected with hose through which oil flows from the reduction gear of hydraulic pump drive. Oil drainage is performed through a drain hole covered with a magnetic plug.
