Japan July-Sept. GDP growth revised up to 1.2% on private investment Japan's economy grew an annualized real 1.2 percent in the July-September quarter, revised up from an initially reported 0.9 percent, helped by stronger private sector investment and inventories, the Cabinet Office said Monday. The upward revision marked the second consecutive quarter of growth, reinforcing the government's view that Japan remains on a moderate recovery path and leaving financial markets prepared for a near-term interest rate hike by the Bank of Japan.
