After Dolphins QB sustains concussion, calls for him to consider retirement grow The Miami Dolphins announced quarterback Tua Tagovailoa suffered a concussion in Thursday's game against the Buffalo Bills. Tagovailoa collided with Bills safety Damar Hamlin and left the game. Tagovailoa has had at least three concussions in three seasons. Mt. Fuji peak-day climbers drop 17% with overtourism measures - Nikkei Asia KOFU/SHIZUOKA, Japan -- The number of people climbing Mt. Fuji has fallen 17% on a peak day in the summer season, compared to last year, after entry restrictions were placed on the most popular trail, adding momentum to local efforts to curb overtourism identified by the International Council on Monuments and Sites (ICOMOS), an advisory body to UNESCO.The climbing season for Mt. Fuji, which began in July, ended on Tuesday.

Biden bid to block U.S. Steel buyout unlikely before election: report U.S. President Joe Biden is unlikely to try to block Nippon Steel Corp.'s plan to acquire United States Steel Corp. ahead of the Nov. 5 presidential election, The Washington Post said Friday. The report came after the daily and other outlets indicated last week the White House was set to take action to stymie the deal. The controversial takeover plan has drawn opposition from Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris, who is his successor as the Democratic nominee, as well as from former President Donald Trump, her Republican rival in the race. Malaysia prepares heavier 'sugar tax' in bid to combat diabetes - Nikkei Asia KUALA LUMPUR -- Malaysia plans to introduce a heavier tax on sugar-sweetened beverages, hoping to reduce the public's sugar consumption as the government tackles diabetes and other non-communicable diseases in the country.The proposed tax, announced by Health Minister Dzulkefly Ahmad earlier this week, is set to be introduced in the upcoming draft budget for 2025, which is slated to be tabled in parliament on Oct. 18.
