Body found in closet identified as missing Tokyo high school girl A body found in a closet in a house in central Japan on Monday was confirmed to be that of a missing 16-year-old high school girl from Tokyo, police said Tuesday. Masaki Eguchi, the 21-year-old resident of the house in Ichinomiya, Aichi Prefecture, was arrested for allegedly abandoning the body. Myanmar junta chief says quake death toll rises to 2,700: reports The death toll from the powerful earthquake that struck central Myanmar has risen to more than 2,700, with over 4,500 people injured, the country's military chief said Tuesday, according to local media reports. As aftershocks, a shortage of heavy machinery and an intermittent supply of electricity continue to hamper search and rescue operations, junta chief Senior Gen. 7 injured after car runs into pedestrians in central Nagoya Seven people were injured but conscious after a car barreled through a busy area of downtown Nagoya, central Japan, on Tuesday, local authorities said.
