Feb. foreign visitors to Japan hit monthly record of 3.26 mil. The number of foreign visitors to Japan in February rose 16.9 percent from a year earlier to a record 3.26 million for the month, driven by strong demand for winter sports and the Chinese New Year holiday trailing into the month, government data showed Wednesday. China startup unveils AI-powered humanoid robot priced at $27,500 A Chinese robotics startup has begun accepting preorders for its artificial intelligence-powered humanoid robot featuring dexterous manipulation and straight-leg walking for 199,000 yuan ($27,500), with the company reportedly planning to start mass production by the middle of this year. Semiprivate booths to be introduced on Tokaido shinkansen trains Semiprivate booths with luxurious seats will be introduced on shinkansen bullet trains connecting Tokyo and western Japan by March 2028, the operator said Wednesday, citing expected demand from inbound tourists and business travelers.
