Baseball: Veteran Hawks lefty Tsuyoshi Wada draws curtain on 22-year career Veteran southpaw Tsuyoshi Wada has decided to retire after 22 years in professional baseball, the Pacific League champion SoftBank Hawks said Tuesday. The 43-year-old posted a 160-89 record with a 3.18 ERA over 334 games with the Hawks, his only club in Japan, while he was 5-5 over two seasons from 2014 with the Chicago Cubs in Major League Baseball. Tokyo Stock Exchange extends closing time for 1st time in 70 years The Tokyo Stock Exchange has extended its trading hours by 30 minutes starting Tuesday without any trouble on the first day, as it aims to make the bourse more attractive to foreign investors and boost dealing activity. With the first extension of its closing time in 70 years, the Tokyo market will now operate from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. with an hourlong lunch break, according to Japan Exchange Group Inc., the parent of the bourse's operator.
