NEW DELHI -- India is taking steps to boost production from fisheries and enhance the industry's infrastructure in hopes of raising the country's seafood exports to one trillion rupees ($12 billion) by March next year, an increase of around 67% from current levels.Prime Minister Narendra Modi's government has allocated 26 billion rupees for the department of fisheries in the current annual budget, 54% more than the previous year.
