Snowboarding: Miki wins parallel giant slalom finale, completes sweep Japanese snowboarder Tsubaki Miki won the season-ending World Cup women's parallel giant slalom event Sunday to clinch the PGS crystal globe and the overall championship. Miki defeated Bulgaria's Malena Zamfirova in the final while her closest rival for the PGS title, Ramona Theresia Hofmeister of Germany, settled for third place in Krynica, Poland. European Leaders Race to Save US Support for Ukraine UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer and other European leaders used a security summit in London to demonstrate broad support for Ukraine. Starmer, his Italian counterpart Giorgia Meloni and French President Emmanuel Macron, as well as other leaders, spent the weekend in a diplomatic whirlwind as they tried to fix the disastrous clash at the White House between US President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy. Israel Halts Gaza Aid as Hamas Rejects New Truce Plan Israel halted all humanitarian aid and other imports to the war-shattered Gaza Strip as a six-week truce with Hamas expired on Sunday and the Iranian-backed Palestinian faction balked at a US bridging proposal to extend the suspension of hostilities. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office warned in a statement that “if Hamas keeps up its recalcitrance” regarding the ceasefire, “there will be further consequences.” Bloomberg’s Dan Williams reports.
