FRANKFURT, Germany -- BMW will cooperate with Toyota Motor to develop fuel cell vehicles under plans announced Thursday, aiming to begin mass production in 2028 as a new option amid slowing global sales of electric vehicles."This is a milestone in automotive history: the first-ever series production fuel cell vehicle to be offered by a global premium manufacturer," said Oliver Zipse, chairman of BMW's management board, in the companies' news releases.
