| 07.03.2025 15:35 South Korea court approves release of President Yoon from detention A South Korean court Friday approved the release of President Yoon Suk Yeol from detention, following his arrest and subsequent indictment over his brief imposition of martial law in early December, a decision that could lead to him being allowed to stand criminal trial without physical restriction.
The Seoul Central District Court granted Yoon's request for release, saying his detention since mid-January is unjustified.
