Asia-Pacific leaders discuss South China Sea, North Korea, Ukraine Leaders of 18 Asia-Pacific countries gathered in Laos on Friday to discuss issues ranging from mounting tensions in the South China Sea where China is engaged in territorial rows with its neighbors to North Korea's nuclear and missile development and Russia's prolonged war in Ukraine. The East Asia Summit involving the 10-member Association of Southeast Asian Nations as well as such countries as Japan, China, India, the United States and Russia was also expected to take up the expanding conflict in the Middle East. Toyota ties up with Haas to return to F1 for 1st time in 15 years Toyota Motor Corp. said Friday it has tied up with U.S.-based MoneyGram Haas F1 Team on vehicle development, returning to Formula One racing for the first time since 2009. Under the multiyear partnership, Toyota will be involved in the aerodynamic development of the F1 team's racing cars. The automaker's training drivers, engineers and mechanics will participate in the team's test drives to gain experience and learn how to analyze driving data. Read full story here
