Boxing: Goodman out of Inoue world title bout with another eye injury Japanese undisputed super bantamweight champion Naoya Inoue's next scheduled opponent, Sam Goodman, sustained another eye injury and has withdrawn from the Jan. 24 boxing world title bout, Inoue's gym confirmed Saturday. Ohashi Boxing Gym's chairman, Hideyuki Ohashi, told a press conference that Goodman's side had contacted him early Saturday morning to say the Australian's injury would require six months to heal. Student suspected of hammer attack at Japan univ. cites "bullying" A female student suspected of injuring eight others in a hammer attack on a university campus in suburban Tokyo said she had been bullied and felt belittled, police said Saturday. The suspect, Yoo Ju Hyun, who holds South Korean nationality and came to Japan to study, was arrested after allegedly attacking students at Hosei University's Tama Campus in Machida on Friday. Japan agrees to give patrol boats to Indonesia for maritime security Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba said Saturday his country has agreed to provide high-speed patrol boats to Indonesia following talks with President Prabowo Subianto as the maritime nations seek to expand security cooperation amid China's growing clout. The two nations confirmed bilateral cooperation on energy security, human resource development and disaster prevention. Ukraine captures 2 North Korean soldiers in Russia war: Zelenskyy Ukrainian troops have captured two North Korean soldiers, part of a contingent that has been fighting alongside Russian forces against Ukraine since last year, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Saturday, marking the first disclosure of North Korean personnel being taken as prisoners of war. "This was not an easy task," Zelenskyy wrote on the X platform, referring to the captured North Korean soldiers in Russia's western region of Kursk near Ukraine.
