Japan to call on U.S. to minimize Harvard foreign student ban impact The Japanese government said Friday it will call on the United States to mitigate any potential impact on Japanese students enrolled at Harvard University after U.S. President Donald Trump's administration decided to revoke the prestigious institution's certification to accept international students. "There are many Japanese students at Harvard University. Nissan may sell HQ as it eyes extra 60 bil. yen restructuring costs Nissan Motor Co. is considering selling its headquarters building in Yokohama, near Tokyo, to help cover costs related to plant closures and other restructuring efforts, sources familiar with the matter said Friday. Tokyo loop line disrupted in rush hour over power connector damage Train services on the busy Yamanote Line in central Tokyo were heavily disrupted during the Friday morning rush hour after pantograph problems detected the previous night led to a suspension of operations, according to JR East. Both the inner and outer loops of the JR Yamanote Line, which circles central Tokyo with stops including Shinjuku, Shibuya and Tokyo stations, were suspended from the first scheduled services of the day.
